Roving Restorers

13 October - Roving Restorers saw the very rare vine Parsonsia largiflorens (Large-flowered Silkpod) at the Egerton Nature Refuge. Marc Russell, Council's Land for Wildlife officer for the area found the vine at this site which is one of only 6 known in the world. Lovely to have Marc there to show us. Daryl Reinke is holding the vine - you can see the regular ridges every 20cm along the vines. Roger Egerton and his sister Jane & Lee Roy joined us and turned on a great morning tea. It was a fitting tribute to that wonderful man Bill Egerton who passed away earlier this year.
